A Message From Mr. Emerson....
I couldn’t be more pleased to be the new vice principal of Frontier School. I have deep roots in the Twin Rivers district where I have spent the last thirty-four years of my life. As a child I attended Oakdale Elementary School, and Foothill Junior and Senior High Schools. Immediately after graduation I began coaching at Foothill High School, where I have coached ever since. I even completed my student teaching at Joyce School and Pioneer School. I’ve spent the last fourteen years teaching third and sixth grades at Frontier and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
I love our school because the students are safe, respectful, and responsible. The teachers work extremely hard to push our students to reach new heights. One of my favorite things about Frontier School is the sense of tradition that’s been established over the last 50 years. You’d be amazed at how often people tell me about their own sixth grade Dillon Beach trip or how much fun they had at Frontier field days. People notice that the dance festival has stayed pretty much the same throughout years. The community and the students are what make this school so special. I’m looking forward to keeping traditions alive and helping to make Frontier one of the top rated schools in the area. My goal is that it will remain a school that the community can be proud of.
First in my life, I’m a dad and a husband. I have a wonderful wife who is a first grade teacher and two amazing kids that I love to be around. My children are in fifth grade and kindergarten and they attend the same school my wife teaches at. I’m jealous that they get to see each other so often during the school day. As a family we love to travel. Last summer we took the kids to Hawaii and snorkeled with turtles. That was truly an amazing experience! Next summer we are looking forward to a trip to Europe, which happens to be our favorite place to travel.
I’m looking forward to this school year and having a chance to serve this school as the vice principal.
